2009-2010 AMWA Mid-Atlantic Officers: Biographies
President
Stefan Schuber
Stephen enjoys the challenges of medical writing and editing, helping teams of authors to produce technically accurate and correctly formatted manuscripts for publication. When authors need rigorously creative communication tools, Stephen helps them find novel solutions, including articles for peer review, posters, Web communications, white papers, and other documents. For nearly 25 years he has helped communicators with technical writing, editing, compendial communications, and publishing activities involving pharmaceuticals, biologicals and biotechnology, regulatory affairs, and analytical sciences. In addition to his medical writing skills, at the US Pharmacopeia he contributed to General Chapters that are legally enforceable by the Food and Drug Administration and other drug regulatory agencies worldwide. He is responsible for Stimuli articles in Pharmacopeial Forum, a bimonthly journal of compendial review and standards development. In this ISO 9001– and ISO 17025–certified organization he has written and edited SOPs and has collaborated with colleagues internationally. He reads widely, learns quickly, and applies his skill sets creatively to help professionals communicate with each other.
