Central Virginia Chapter Group Gathering

On Tuesday, September 20, 2011, AMWA-MAC members from Central Virginia gathered at 6:00 pm in Charlottesville, Virginia for a networking event at Bang! Restaurant. Seven of us met at the restaurant, ate great Asian-infusion food, and discussed various topics for more than two hours. Highlights of the conversations included finding out who is attending the upcoming national convention in Jacksonville, Florida (2 of us); matching up a project from a member who could not attend with a qualified freelancer who did; introducing two employees who work for the same company (PRA International) but had not yet met; welcoming two newcomers to Central Virginia; brainstorming future networking events (including adding an educational component); discussing benefits to members who volunteer at the chapter level; and just generally discovering one another's educational backgrounds and career interests. It was a really great group, a wonderful venue, and an enjoyable evening. Thank you to everyone who attended!
