AMWA-MAC Networking Dinner

Eleven members of the AMWA Mid-Atlantic Chapter gathered at our home away from home, La Madeleine in Bethesda, for a fall networking dinner. In attendance were four new members and one new-to-chapter member. The discussion covered strategies for the upcoming national AMWA conference, including the ‘Greet and Go’ session and why not to wear socks with holes in them when getting on the airplane! A hot topic from the AMWA listserves – manuscript ghostwriting – was also a key part of the discussion. Lili Velez discussed her recently completed online survey of AMWA members about this topic. She’s currently analyzing the data. Attendees were reminded of the opening for a coordinator for the Rockville-Gaithersburg area and about the March chapter conference.
