Frederick Regional Networking Lunch
The inaugural AMWA-MAC Fredrick Networking Luncheon was successfully held on Friday, April 16, 2010, at the Olive Garden restaurant. Five local medical writers and editors attended the luncheon, and many additional AMWA members expressed interest in future gatherings in Frederick.
In addition to 4 AMWA members, the networking luncheon also attracted one non-AMWA member who was interested in joining our organization. The 5 attendees enjoyed the food, exchanged business cards, and had great discussions on a wide range of topics, including AMWA membership benefits, medical writing and editing opportunities in Frederick, and the best of Frederick. At the end of the luncheon, each attendee received a door prize, and all attendees were looking forward to the next gathering.
For future events, the group is considering different formats and locations. Please send ideas and suggestions (along with ideal dates), and thank you.
