The AMWA Journal is soliciting content for its Chapter Corner

They are seeking two types of submissions:

  • Profiles of outstanding chapter volunteers. These should be about 500-750 words. The June and December issues from 2007 contain good examples.
  • Brief ideas and tips about chapter events and activities. These nuggets of advice might include elements of humor and personal experience. Graphic elements are encouraged.

If you would like to contribute to the Chapter Corner, or if you would like more information, contact Editor Tracey Fine at finemedpubs@earthlink.net.

Upcoming AMWA-MAC Events:

AMWA’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter sponsors two chapter-wide information and networking events each year. These programs feature speakers on a variety of science and business topics, take AMWA members on behind-the-scenes tours at health care and research organizations and offer members excellent opportunities to share information and advice with their professional colleagues. More information will be posted as it becomes available (check our “What's New” menu). Join us! If you have program ideas or would like to help plan or present a chapter event, contact Debbie Luyo.

Can’t make it to MAC events? Build your own opportunities!
  • Want to do a power lunch in your area?
  • Network with colleagues over coffee and danish?
  • Host a potluck dinner for nearby members?

MAC meetings needn’t be limited to events sponsored by the chapter board. If you’re looking for additional networking opportunities, AMWA-MAC is happy to help you coordinate them. Please contact the Website Coordinator for more information.
